The MKCO is a central part of cultural life in Milton Keynes, the musicians being professionals of the highest calibre who perform regularly with the major London orchestras. 
The Milton Keynes Music Service is the Council-run service providing instrumental tuition to over 3,000 students in Milton Keynes' schools. 1000 of these students play and sing in Music Centre Ensemble groups at Stantonbury Campus on Saturday mornings and at other city venues throughout the week.
