Milton Keynes Academy Shines in G.C.S.E. Results
 The first G.C.S.E. results from The Milton Keynes Academy show a marked improvement from its predecessor school. The Ashley Hyde Appeal – Live!
 Seven year old Ashley Hyde from Milton Keynes is currently battling the aggressive childhood cancer, neuroblastoma, for a second time. On the 7th July 2010, Ashley flew to Germany for experimental treatment to try to beat the disease. This treatment isn't free and it isn't being paid for by the NHS or a PCT. As you can imagine, it's costing a fortune and funds are running low. The family needs all the help they can to fund Ashley's treatment, which is why his friends and family have pulled out all the stops with a charity concert on Saturday 4th September.

Cranfield Air Cadet, 14, Promoted Through Ranks
 Cranfield Air Cadet, Sean Robinson, 14, has been promoted to the rank of Cadet Corporal in recognition of his hard work and commitment to 207 (Cranfield) Squadron Air Training Corps. Sean has been with the squadron nearly two years, in which time he has achieved numerous accolades for his efforts and has attended a wide variety of events in order to benefit the group.

 The Cycle-MK Challenge was rounded off in style with a celebratory award winners lunch, held at the Ramada Encore Hotel, at The Hub. The event marked the fantastic achievements of the 76 organisations and 1,170 individuals who took part in the free, fun competition aimed at encouraging workers to rediscover the joys of riding a bike by building it into their daily lives. Top Marks and Uni Places for MK6 Students
 Students at Milton Keynes College's sixth form, MK6, had double cause for celebration today (Thursday 19th August). Not only did the college achieve its highest ever A-Level pass rate of 97%, but 47 out of 52 second year A-Level students managed to secure themselves university places.

Rock Chorus Rocks the Three Counties this Summer
 Rock Chorus is a choir with a difference. It was started by Dunstable based singer/songwriter, Lauren Field, in September 2009 and now has over 100 members across five choirs and is growing week by week. This summer sees Rock Chorus perform at numerous local venues and festivals.

 A chance to produce your very own music video is just one extra offering in this year's Summer of Fun being run for the second season by Great Linford Parish Council. The parish held its first summer programme last year which was a huge success with 1,000 children and 400 parents taking part.

Santander Staff Give Local Gymnastics Club a Makeover
 Twenty volunteering staff from Santander spent the day revitalising the walls of the MK Springers Gymnastics Club. The team helped create a vibrant and daring mural, with paintings of gymnasts cart-wheeling across the walls. The organisers at the club worked with Santander to keep this a surprise for the gymnasts so when they come in to train they will be greeted with fresh and fun surroundings.

 On Monday the 5th July members of each cadet service from all over the country made their way down to London to participate in one of the most prestigious events being held to celebrate the 150th anniversary of cadet organisations, which involved a parade to Buckingham Palace, Red Arrow display and a Royal Garden Party.  Charities and organisations in Milton Keynes are being urged to apply for a share of a new community bursary, launched on Monday 28th June, by a leading local housebuilder.
